Privacy
Tracivic monitors public-record municipal meeting agendas across Texas. Everything we publish is aggregated from official city, county, school-district, and special-district websites. The only data we collect about you is what's necessary to operate the service.
What we collect
- Account info (if you sign up): email, hashed password, plan tier, Stripe customer ID for billing.
- Usage analytics: pageviews, navigation paths, basic device info via Google Analytics 4. IP addresses are anonymized at collection.
- A free-articles counter cookie: a small signed cookie tracking which agenda items you've recently viewed so the paywall meter can count free reads. Anonymous; no ad-targeting.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not run third-party advertising networks.
- We do not share your account info with anyone except payment processors and infrastructure providers we contract with (Stripe, AWS).
Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Per the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), we honor "Do Not Sell" requests even though we don't currently sell data. To submit a request, email privacy@tracivic.com with the subject "CCPA — Do Not Sell" and the email address you use with Tracivic.
Account deletion
Email privacy@tracivic.com with subject "Delete my account" and we'll wipe your account data within 30 days. Public-record agenda content stays in our database (it's not your data — it's the city's).
